Can someone help clarify a debate with my room mate? Is there a reason NOT to list your houses in order of true favorites top to bottom? I did this at IWT. Didn't exactly get my top 12 but a few houses I ranked lower filled my card. I am assuming these houses (that I ranked low) had me high enough that I still got asked back - my rank really didn't effect that they kept me. My choices would have mattered only if ALL the houses I ranked high had me ranked high too and my card would have filled onlybwith my top picks. But that didn't happen. My arguement is that if a house wants you, then it will be moved up into your card. So I am saying no reason to fool with how you rank My roommate says it matters. And if you rank a house lower it may mean that you will not get chosen by them in the next round even if other houses "dropped you" and you have an open slot on your card. Who is right? Is there no reason or a reason to shuffle the rank based on where you think you may have the best odds?
