Actives are supposed to keep saying goodbye to you until the doors are closed. You will always hear rumors about whether leaving a house last means they like you a lot or not, but I know for my house (and I think most houses) it really doesn't matter, we are just trying to get everyone out in a logical manner. Same goes for where you are placed within the house.
