Hey, Thanks for your reply. My parents are concerned and are definitely not dumb. They're both UA alums themselves and both were Greek here. You're right that these incidents occur in other places but the cover-up and concern about safety is legitimate. The news is very concerning as it seems crimes are possibly being committed and perpetrators go free in Tuscaloosa. It's my parents money that has been and will be going to both UA and the house I join (and I'm not sure yet if I'll follow in my Mom and Grandmother's footsteps and join their house). I wouldn't dare reveal who I am (obviously). When Mom was here, all they needed to get in the house was a door code and she thinks it was changed each semester back then. I'm not the only PNM wanting to know more about security measures and parents will be asking questions too- at bid day and later on. I hope each house can go over this with them and not treat parents as if they are dumb since they are the ones paying for all in most cases). I know all about personal safety but I think always having a plan is a good idea.
