Honestly, you sound like 1,000 other girls coming through rush this year... Pretty and good grades? Okay and? I'm not trying to be mean but you need to be more humble. If you have this sort of "I'm too good for the NR and bottom houses" mentality then you're going to be very shocked when your schedule is comprised of most of them and considering it seems like you don't have too much else to offer, it seems like that's the path you're headed (not that being NR/in a bottom house is bad). All houses here are amazing and you would be lucky to get a bid from any of them. Maybe the girls you know genuinely felt happy in them and chose them over the conventional higher ranked houses. Maybe the girls you know were left with bottom houses after rush but chose to stick through it and make the best of the opportunity. Maybe the girls you know had friends in the house prior to rush and wanted to be with them. There are hundreds of possibilities... But you're going to drive yourself crazy if you constantly compare yourself to them and all other girls. Rush and do what's best for you. Not everything that glitters is gold, meaning that a house may seem like the perfect fit for you but you may come through rush and feel drastically different. Every house offers girls memories that will last a lifetime. Pledge the house you feel most comfortable in because when you're walking around campus ranks don't matter. Good luck and stay humble.
