You'd be surprised how well someone can read you. Honestly, if they are all your Moms friends, then you are probably okay, but just because someone agrees to write a Rec for you, doesn't mean they are gonna make you look like the greatest PNM to ever walk through the door. If you are good enough at faking it, maybe. That said, people aren't usually out to get you just to be salty. I have only written three Recs where I really thought taking the girl was a bad idea for my house. They knew what I was thinking, I assure you.
