Return rates are a real stat. But only Panhellenic and officers of each sorority will know their own. It's not going to be publicly posted like membership numbers and grades will be. Return rates determine how many girls each house will have cut/invite back each round. A house with high return rates (meaning PNMs want to go see them again like for example AXO or Kappa) will get to invite back fewer girls each round because they know that most of the girls that they invite back will rank them highly on pref. I wouldn't trust what people say on this site, but you can generally tell which houses are popular based on how many parties are held on pref night and how many girls are bid that day. Stronger recruiting chapters that have a lot of QAs mean that they were popular on pref night and a lot of girls wanted them #1.
