This whole NR vs. OR things is annoying. NO ONE is trying to deter PNMs from pledging OR. Everyone knows that OR is much more competitive and "exclusive" during rush than NR. Also, NR and OR don't cross rush. The point that people are trying to make, is that if you PNMs have the opportunity to go either NR or OR, decide based on your genuine feelings. Don't play the name game and don't pledge a house just because you know a certain frat really likes them or because they hold a certain "status." Of course, there are OOS girls in OR houses who love their house and have lots of friends... However, OOS girls in OR houses have to work harder at it than girls in NR houses. Why? Because there are many girls in OR houses who are snobby and will not talk to you because of what zip code you're from... And if any of you try to deny this then you're lying to yourself. And are there girls in NR houses who are snobby and not sisterly too? Yes, but it's very different. I'm not trying to attack any houses... ALL houses are amazing and Greek life is what you make of it. However, don't be naive. For an OR active to say her house doesn't have snobby girls who will not speak to you if you're from a certain area is just a complete lie.
