Grades are the most basic thing houses cut for after IWTs. If a house is willing to keep a girl after IWTs with a 3.0 then chances are they would also be willing to pledge her (if she does rush as great as you say.) My advice to your friend would be to rank AXO/AGD/KKG/etc low immediately because those houses don't have spots to waste on girls that don't fit their grade profile unless she's besties with someone on exec or her dad is a CEO or something. After IWTs she should rank them honestly. Her biggest mistake would be ranking houses like DZ, APhi, GPB etc very low after IWTs because she thinks she's too good for them, when in fact those houses are the houses most likely to keep her. That's the mistake most PNMs make - they overestimate how many houses will ask them back.
