@active I have told her that I plan to make choices based on what's best for me, but she just keeps singing the praises of her sorority, and telling me that every other house will drop me anyway, since I am a legacy. I think where/when she went to school, Legacies were a bigger deal to houses, and there weren't a million of them, so she doesn't get the idea that the house could also drop me. Luckily, my dad backs me up on making my own choices, so at least one of my parents will still love me if I don't go XYZ. Okay, that's an exaggeration. My mom will be disappointed, but she'll still love me in other letters. They can't come up for bid day, so at least there's that. Thank you for the very good advice.
