It almost never has any significance. Like someone already pointed out, it's about efficiency. We have to get all the PNMs out before a specific time and not a second later. So we generally dismiss by rooms. Although if I'm having a REALLY good conversation with a PNM and I don't want it to end, I'll keep sitting with her and walk her out towards the end. But that doesn't mean I haven't also loved PNMs I didn't walk out last. It just depends. Please don't overthink stuff like this.
