I think that being super pretty can help you "get away" with wearing more risqué clothing, having a poor resume, having poor conversation skills, and maybe having a GPA on the lower side. However, it usually cannot help you get away with having no recs with the exception of a few very specific houses. Your options would still be heavily limited, probably more so than the less attractive girl with a strong resume and 2 recs per house.
