Sorry if this is confusing, I'll try to be as clear as possible: In the system called RFM that sororities use, the PNM's pref ranking has preference in bid matching. So basically it looks at what the PNM wants, and if she is high enough on her number 1 house's list to get a bid, she goes to her number 1. You only move to your number 2 if your number 1 house fills to quota before your name is reached, and so on. So while the houses decide who comes back to the parties each round, the PNM's pref rankings more determines what house she ends up in.
