Not everyone is over the moon on bid day. It's a long week full of impersonal conversations and the process doesn't always make sense. Some girls will make it to pref with two of their favorite houses and one they can't see themselves in and get the third, some PNMs with a 4.5 will open their card and see a house on the bottom of the grade report and be disappointed by that, etc. Personally, my pref card had just one house that the other girls were dying to get off their lists and I honestly was feeling terrible about myself on bid day. It's extremely emotional for even the strongest girls. Not everyone's bid day is alpha chi and rainbows
