KD is the oldest at Alabama and thus many of the judgemental Highland Park-types are going to prefer their daughters joined the oldest sorority at UA rather than Pi Phi (post-WW2) or Theta (late 1960s.) Even the "oldest" chapters at UT have been there on/off since the Great Depression.
