I'm going to try to summarize this here. After the first round of parties, you will be cut based on GPA or your reputation. After the next round, your activities MIGHT make a difference, based on the house. Neither GPA nor activities will probably matter at ALL after this. After the third round, and probably the second round, it is based on your conversation skills alone. This doesn't mean just answering questions the actives ask you. This means, can you ask them good questions? Are you interesting when you answer? Are you stiff, or do you seem fun? Would I want to eat dinner with you or hang out with you? Do you fit with my house? After probably ice water tea cuts, no one cares what or who you were in high school. You are starting over, and you have a few minutes to impress.
