Pretty much all the southern states have more girls go old row than new row although it's most prominent with girls from AL and MS. "The south" is a pretty broad geographic region, though, so the further you get from Alabama the more girls tend to be 50:50 and eventually almost entirely new row. Old row is kinda defined by the weight they place on their historic reputations as the strongest sororities at UA, but that reputation/culture matters less and less as you get away from the deep south.
