I am from out of state, non-southern. I have had a girl from my high school who goes to Bama tell me that her recommendation letters really impacted the houses she got during rush. And the old row and top of the new row houses where she had recs kept her, but she was dropped by the houses where she didn't have recs. She would have had a great resume on Grades, involvement, and dad's occupation, and she is attractive and put together and very easy to talk to as well I have heard others say that if you have "all that", the recs don't matter can someone shed some light if girls without recs get over loked despite their credentials or if they have a great credentials, it will get noticed anyway?
