I also want to mention that by the time junior/senior year rolls around, most girls realize that Greek life isn't everything. As an incoming freshmen, I know how important rush and everything seems, and your freshmen and sophomore years are definitely going to be revolved around your house, but as the years go by you have less responsibilities in the house. You also begin to mature more and see that sorority life isn't the most important thing that's going to happen in your life... So, a lot of upperclassmen will take up jobs, internships, SGA positions, and other responsibilities on campus to better their resumes and/or pursue opportunities relating to their major/future career, which is why they're not expected to participate in things like HoCo, Derby Days, Greek Week, etc.
