Going into rush I wanted to be in the two of the top ranked New Row houses because they were all so pretty and a lot of the girls in those houses were where I was from. I ended up getting dropped and only had one house on pref. I was balling my eyes out but my mom convinced me to just go to the round and give them a chance, and if I didn't like it then I could drop. I ended up getting preffed by our current president and taking my bid. I am in a house the is "bottom tier" and at first that was all I could think about and how i didn't get the house I wanted. My roommates would tell me how they couldn't see me in the other houses to try and make me feel better but it didn't help. I opened up a little and that's when everything got better. I was sad for a little but after I met my future big and her friends, I started making my own friends and began to love my house. During rush I realized I did not dislike my house but I did not give it much attention because I was so focused on the other houses that ended up not wanting me. I look back now and although I have friends/roommates(who are amazing) in those houses I'm glad I ended up where I did because I love it even if it is "bottom".
