Yes it's definitely worth it!! I rushed sophomore year and I still had an amazing time here as a freshman!! You'll be just fine as long as you get involved in something - living in the honors college dorm, doing a club sport, writing for a school publication, getting really into a club, doing youth ministry/religious stuff, doing research, whatever floats your boat. I love my friends that stayed independent and they love bama, we just decided to allocate our time in different ways.
