Since y'all love to ask every single day whether or not your GPA is good enough here's a general break down: - Panhellenic says, 3.0 is a the general cut off... But it's more like a good "starting point." A 3.0 DOES NOT automatically get you a bid. - The more academically focused houses (like AXO, ADPi, AGD, KAT, XO, etc) definitely want something higher, usually a 3.3 and up. - If you're a sophomore rushing, same goes for you. Houses aren't going to be more "sympathetic" towards your grades just because your GPA is based on college courses. - Anything under a 3.0 is considered a grade risk. - Houses do not look into your test scores. Maybe if we're torn between you and another girl we'll go and take a peak at your SAT/ACT scores but for the most part everything's based on your GPA. - We don't care about whatever excuses you have as to why your GPA isn't the best. - We're also not "sympathetic" towards girls with low GPAs just because they attended "rigorous" private schools. - The most important thing is that your grades are just one aspect of the bigger picture. A perfect 4.0 means nothing if you can't present yourself well and have a good conversation. Whereas a 3.3 can get into even the most competitive houses if you're well adversed in other areas (involvement, connections, etc). And something under a 3.0 can still have a good rush, it's going to be harder but not impossible. now pls stop with the daily gpa questions
