Hey girl! Im an OOS northern girl in a very in-state old row Alabama sorority. The main thing I have noticed is that the in-state/ southern girls have different morals, were raised differently, and act a certain way (its kinda hard to explain). Most are extremely polite, big into southern hospitality, never swear, always keeping it classy, go to church on sunday. It's not a bad thing at all, but Its just kinda a cultural shock to people like us from the north who are more laid back, okay with swearing or not holding a door open for someone, and not attending church lol. Definitely not something I was use to, however you learn to embrace each others differences and I have made some awesome friends in-state, OOS, southern, northern wherever, don't worry too much about it!! Yes there are cliques, yes most are (the Alabama girls and the oos girls). However there are going go be cliques in every sorority, its not like we all hate each other because of where we are from!!! everyone just has their group of friends and you will definitely find your place old row or new row.
