Also note, New Row houses are just as good as Old Row. You said you wanted to be in a "good" house but it seems you're really focused on Old Row. I want to be very blunt - the "prestige" of being Old Row is gone and has been for quite a few years. Being Old Row honestly gets you nothing besides one monster swap a year, that's it. And a lot of these Old Row houses aren't as qualified as a handful of New Row houses are. For decades, these Old Row sororities lived and thrived off the fact that they were Old Row, and rarely went above and beyond because they didn't need to since they still got top recruits just from their status... But now with such a heavy presence of OOS girls, houses that are exclusive only hurts them. A lot of Old Row houses, such as KD, KKG, DDD, and AGD fall short compared to how good New Row houses grades are as well as how much their girls are involved and how philanthropic they are. I'm not trying to hate on Old Row, I just want you to realize that a label isn't everything. A handful of New Row houses work just as hard, if not harder, than most Old Row houses. Also a lot of New Row houses have stronger sisterhoods because the girls actually want to know each other and aren't held back by extreme cliques. Go into rush with an open mind, pledge where you feel the best, and remember not everything that glitters is gold.
