i'm an oos pnm so i know that puts me at a disadvantage with the top tier old row houses, but i want to give myself the best chance possible by finding good recs obviously. i'm not a legacy anywhere but i know women who were or currently are members of sororities who are willing to write rec letters for me. i just have a couple questions - 1) can current members write letters or is it better if alumna write them? 2) do i need to buy expensive stationery for them to hand write them? or is it a form? 3) do the writers mail the letter to the sorority or do i do that myself? 4)do i need to have monagrammed envelopes? sorry if i sound stupid, i just want to make sure i know what i'm doing before i give them my resume and have them write a letter so i don't make them regret writing it when i don't know what to do with it.
