Subject:
explaining old/new row to student exchange student

Poster Message:
So I had met some students from overseas and they had asked me a few questions about Greek life. One of the questions was to define what new / old row was. This was their response - "That doesn't make much logical sense. What if another house has better grades, is more involved, has better grades, and every other desired characteristic except their new row? Suddenly they go down in the rankings? That's the most absurd thing I've ever heard in my life." If only we were as intelligent as this student from France, but point being with this post is that being old / new row doesnt make you better or worse. We're all apart of Greek life so we can be apart of something larger than ourselves and to meet amazing people throughout our for years in college. PNM's don't base your decision on whether a house is old or new row, base it on the connection you have with the girls during recruitment. At the end of the day your friendships are more important than your old/new row status.
