Ask teachers and church members to refer you to their friends who are sorority alumnae. Some schools even have lists available. Have you pursued this? Contact your local Panhellenic first and ask for help/advice/referrals. Contact alumnae chapters via email if that is your only choice and introduce yourself respectfully. Talk about why you are interested in recruitment. Ask if they are able to refer you to a member that could meet you or recommend for you. It can't hurt to attach your social resume. You can always attach all your other details later if they can refer you to a person willing to write a rec (many are willing as long as you are respectful and gracious). Most sorority women know women in other chapters, so when you meet one ask about whether she can refer you to alumnae in other groups. ALWAYS get their postal address to write them a personal thank you note. Make writing a rec easy for them. Follow up.
