@nevertheless it is not just about size. it's a double standard if you ask me. do you think we all want pledge classes with 200 new members???? RFM forces us to only cut a certain number of girls because we would hurt ourselves in the end if we cut too many (even ones we dont totally want). RFM was made so everyone had to take a certain amount of girls (and so pnms wouldn't go through recruitment to pref round and then get shafted, but i digress). Why can't my chapter just "do it's own thing"? Why are we forced to entertain the idea of taking 200 new members when maybe i could just say hey i want us to recruit this other way instead BYE, and take the few that i actually want? It's happened before at other campuses (although i agree NOTHING compares to our rush) but just to name a few, Phi Mu @William and Mary "recolonized" with the remaining members still there, Tri Sigma at UVA and in the past Alpha Phi at UVA...I agree none of these schools recruitments hold a candle to ours, but you have to acknowledge it is not impossible and a very real option.
