Cross Rushing is a term used by sororities during rush. Basically what it is is when at least two sororities (usually within the same tier) heavily rush the same PNMs. Every recruitment, every sorority has a list of girls they really want to pledge, and when two sororities or more have a handful of the same PNMs on their lists that's cross rushing. Now of course all the sororities see the same girls, but later on in the week once all the girls have been filtered through, that's when things get more competitive and that's when you tend to see which houses are going after which girls. Also, some girls are not cross rushed whatsoever. As the girl above who said she ended with PM, XO, and PBP, sometimes it just so happens that you're left with a broad array of houses.
