This is the most misunderstood part of sorority life. No house is judging any PNM for her perceived wealth. We don't research bank accounts for God's sake. You need to be able to pay your sorority dues, so don't join only to drop out because you can't afford it. That's not good for anyone. And, if some sorority girls come from money then they will have younger friends coming through recruitment whom they know from the same private school or country club or summer camp, so the wealthy girls are already friends before they come here, that's all. If you can afford to join then that's all the wealth you need. If you don't have wealthy friends it won't hurt you.
