At UT quota is consistently small compared with SEC schools because so many PNMs would rather drop than take a bid to a house they consider beneath them. It's not just about being a snowflake, though -- girls in lower-tier houses frequently get disrespected by Big Six sororities and Big Four fraternities. Plus, there's no real Greek row on campus -- most of the houses are dispersed in residential neighborhoods just outside campus, and the chapters are strictly responsible for their own housing. A new group would have a huge hurdle to overcome because real estate is both scarce and expensive.
