Compared to my friends at schools with smaller houses - 50 to 100 members versus 400, - it just doesn't seem as important here. I wouldn't trade my ten close friends that I really like for another house where there is a "sense" that the members are somewhat more cohesive. Maybe some houses have more "vocal" factions and some more "seething" but don't think the feeling of real closeness and tight friendship stretches to larger groups in one house versus another. With 400 girls you are going to like some, not really know some and perhaps not even care for some. But there is plenty of room to maneuver and it's easy to find a close group you really like within the house. If you had a house of fifty members it would be way more important that they are cohesive and sisterly. We just don't deal with that here.
