I'm sure if SDT had their way they would prefer to participate in formal and be housed on the row, but it's not as easy as waving a magic wand and suddenly being able to compete on equal footing with everybody else. Instead, they do what works for them, which is to target PNMs who are specifically looking for a different kind of experience. It's a historic chapter with many loyal and supportive alumnae who would rather see it continue to operate this way than see it shut down because they can't make quota/total.
