Hello Greeks of Bama! I am a prospective Bama student this fall from Washington State. I've been doing a TON of research on Bama's Panhellenic, and am very excited about partaking in formal recruitment; but really only if I feel confident I'll be able to get a bid. I'm sure there is a house just for me, but I do wonder about selectivity of in-state vs. out-of-state students, new-row vs. old-row houses, etc. I'll graduate with a 3.87 GPA, as the student body president of my high school, member of the National Honor Society, a volunteer elementary school math/literary tutor, volunteer middle school volleyball coach, director of a local biking-advocacy non profit, founder of a local alpine ski bus program and freshman-mentoring program, and member of several school clubs. I would say I have more of a west-coast style (appearance/clothing wise), am fairly religious (Roman Catholic, though), and come from a middle-class family. I'm pretty outgoing and articulate, but can also be more soft-spoken. As of now, I will have letters of rec from APhi, DG, DZ and PiDPhi alumnae, and am working to find additional recommenders. The Greek-system at Bama is one of the main social factors I admire at the school, and I just want to make the most out of my recruitment. Please let me know which houses you think I could (or could not) potentially receive a bid from, which houses you think I should research, etc. Honestly, anything helps! Thanks y'all and Roll Tide!
