Just my opinion but if you are joining a sorority to get ahead in business, there are much better ways. Harper Lee is not going to help you get a novel published and some random Phi Mu in the "entertainment industry" isn't going to help get you a job on Broadway. You will need to work hard, make excellent grades, impress your professors, do graduate work, work extensively on making and keeping connections, interning, etc. to succeed in your career. You may be able to have a nice conversation if someone sees you're in their college sorority on your resume. However, you also my lose the chance at a job because the person looking at your resume hates greeks. For that reason, most people don't list greek affiliation on their resume. My advice is to look at this as a social group and choose some girls you want as your lifelong friends. Don't choose people you think you can use to get ahead.
