Hope, no sorority HAS to take sophomores. The upperclassman quota is there to encourage sororities to take extra upperclassman, but it's not a requirement. Transfer, there may be a handful of sororities that won't take upperclassmen unless they're a legacy or something, but don't let that stop you. Plenty of sororities DO look for qualified girls no matter what the class (well, they might pause at a junior or senior). To make yourself as attractive as possible, get great grades, win awards, get involved on campus (even one or two things helps), and polish those conversational skills. Plenty of sophomores and even a handful of juniors pledge every year. No reason you can't be one of them. Roll Tide!
