What should I do? During rush, on philanthropy day I was only left with theta, so I did't have any options when it came to receiving a bid from one house over another. During rush I never felt a connection with any of the girls who spoke to me but I decided to pledge just to give it a try. About a month in, I still feel like I haven't really connected with any of the girls. Since theta is a bottom house, cliques between the "better" girls in the house are evident and it's weird to see such a mix of girls. I'm going to wait until next weekend for big/little reveal and see if anything gets better, but overall I'm pretty torn as to whether or not I should stay with theta. I love the Greek life atmosphere and how Greeks are pushed to be more outgoing (academically, socially, etc.) so I definitely feel that Greek life is for me, but I just don't feel like theta is the one. Also, I've heard a lot about how theta is in debt and there's a possibility their chapter here at UA will be removed. I know this isn't the best place to ask for advice but a lot of people on here give blunt and honest answers, so what do y'all think I should do? I wouldn't mind dropping before initiation and rushing again next fall, but, since all houses speak to each other, do you think having dropped the year prior would hurt my chances? Do y'all think theta is a bad/"bottom" house? (P.S. during rush I had a 3.5 gpa, was somewhat involved in high school, and not a legacy of any house, and I'm not a hoe).
