Return rates for old row, who take tons of legacies, is better because these girls and their parents have expected and wanted this their whole life. The costs were known, expectations were high, and the house already chosen. When you grow up wanting something, you don't give it up once you have it. Old row girls love their houses. New row has lower return rates because is many cases, these girls came from other states. These girls might have grown up with parents in Greek life who loved it, but there was no expectation that a particular house just had to be it. Most new row parents are not expecting the costs. The OOS cost of college added to sorority life is a lot. And unlike old row, new row girls are finding their home with no preconceived notions about any sorority on campus and are open to all of them. New row girls love their houses. Both cut who they don't want. Both get who they do want. All the houses are strong here.
