Not necessarily a computer error but more likely there was an error with input. I haven't used the software (not many not high-up in Panhellenic would) but it could be something like historical return rates for upperclassmen were calculated or input incorrectly, or upperclassmen would be lumped in with freshmen. A lot of RFM has been computerized for calculations, but you still need to have the correct values input for things to work correctly.
