If you list the legacy chapter first then you will most likely have a bid to that house. They will list you first, you list them first= match. If, however, you list another chapter first, the computer will try to match you to your first choice., so if that chapter puts you on their first bid list, then you will get a bid from them because you listed them first. If your #1 sorority reaches quota before they get to your name, and you were on choice number 2's first bid list, in this case your legacy chapter, then you will receive a bid from them. The same scenario happens if you don't match to either your # 1 or # 2 choices.
