I'm sorry you got hurt in this process. Cutting legacies is never fun and is always a difficult decision. The reality is that many houses have so many legacies going through that most or all of the pledge class would be legacies if every legacy got a bid. If your mom has been an involved alumna, she was probably aware of your chances going into rush at Bama. Also, the chapter should have called her so that you are not the one to tell her. That's what my house does when we cut legacies out of repsect to the alumna. Take time to hurt and process this today but I hope you will keep an open mind to joining the other houses whose parties you attend this round. One day you will be glad your legacy cut you early enough that you still had other options and time to get to know the other houses better. Good luck!
