Poster Name:Off Campus isn't even bad
Poster Message:
I'm in an off campus fraternity. There's 4 of them: Alpha Sigma Phi, Sigma Tau Gamma, Sigma Alpha Mu, and Alpha Delta Phi. The best ones are Sigma Tau Gamma or Alpha Sigma Phi. SAM and ADPhi are very unknown. The social standing isn't too far off from on campus fraternities. My fraternity has good guys that did get bid from on-campus fraternities and so did I, if I really want to I could've pledged on University Blvd. I chose off campus cause it's cheaper and I still get the same experience just a little bit less. We don't usually do swaps but we do super swaps. We have date parties, formals in New Orleans, super swaps, homecoming with sororities, and we hang out with sororities as well. I have made a lot of friends in Sororities and on campus fraternities so I go to their parties a lot. Some sorority girls look down on you for the off campus fraternity you're in but you don't want girls like that. I'm also in clubs and very involved on campus so I meet a lot of people through that and honestly, I'm glad I didn't do on campus. It's too much money that you won't get back and I get the taste of Greek life that I want all for a cheaper price. I save $3-6k a year by going off campus and the only thing we don't have is a house which we're in the running for. If I'm you, don't immediately see an off campus fraternity and cross it off cause it's off campus, go for the guys, I went for the guys and I've made the best friends. We're all very close and it's great.
