The best policy is to agree among your friend group that you will be friends always no matter what, that you each deserve to find your perfect fit, that this means you likely will be split up and that you sort of covenant not to really talk about personal preferences or thoughts on different houses. In other words, it is time to take the next step, grow up a little and stand on your own.
