It could help. And as you are already aware -- there is nothing stopping you from volunteering for that philanthropy while in another sorority. It's common for women to have multiple interests in volunteer work. You will have a fuller and richer life by opening your heart to any chapter and philanthropy. Some members do very little for their philanthropy while others are enthusiastic contributors. Keep your heart open.
