I know there is plenty of grinding on this app and people who chase clout, but a piece of advice for Freshman. Don't worry about social status when it comes to rush. You are who you are, and you will be bidded based off of that, so don't try to be someone you are not, and don't try to join for clout... bc you don't really get instant clout no matter where you join. If you are a squid in a top house, you're = to a squid in a mid house blah blah blah. Here are what to expect from different houses. DU/Snu/AD/SX: Honestly all similar in terms of mixing. Probably won't get in if you aren't dirty rushed. Considered Top, mostly rich. Exclusive DX/Chi Psi/ZBT: Good houses, probably take some non dirty rushes. Usually good group of guys that have good parties. Solid Sig pi/Pike/Lambda/Sae: Mix of kids who probably didn't dirty rush. I know some of them are trying this year and is looking ok. Respectable guys. Probably find the biggest diversity in here, so a lot of people fit in. Parties are fine. Frats in this tier are improving or getting worse, not staying stagnant. PiKapp/Zeta psi, Phi Tau: Parties less good, mostly freshman. Nice guys, maybe some more shy, non regular frat guys. This is a general overview. Go where you fit in but most importantly, look at you PC bc that's who you will spend the most time with.
