We all know most of Cornell is a consolation prize for being an upper middle class prep school student. The real brilliant kids only attend Caltech, MIT, Harvard, Princeton, Stanford, Penn, UChicago, Columbia and maybe Cornell Engineering. The rest are just a whole tier below man. Is Cornell good? Absolutely. Is it elite? No with the exception of its Engineering, Math and CS programs.
