I go to Cornell and have a sibling who goes to UVA for full tuition (OOS) at both. We studied the same thing. Gonna be frank here, I don't know where you are rationalizing that there is not a prestige drop off from Cornell to UVA. Don't get me wrong, UVA is a great university, but Cornell is still an ivy league institution. Cornell Hotelies and ILRies place just as good as UVA does in my opinion based off what my sibling tells me about finance stuff there. Personally think you want to go to UVA for the fit/vibe but want to rationalize it by saying that UVA is just as good as Cornell. Disagree about with above comment about targets. Think UVA slots in in the third level.
