I really recommend joining a house, or at least going through recruitment. Yes, the testimonies on the panhell instagram are definitely people talking about the very best of their houses, but that does not mean that what they are saying isn't true. There are so many different types of girls in all of the houses on campus, that you are basically bound to find people who you fit well with and will be able to become great friends with. And if you go through rush and don't find a house you love, no harm! At least you explored the opportunity. You'll also have so many great opportunities for leadership, and it's so helpful to be able to talk to older girls to get advice on classes and clubs (seriously, even though everyone says that). I've had ups and downs in my house, but I can say that I have met the most amazing friends, role models, and supporters, and I'm really happy that I ended up joining a house.
