there are no "requirements" to join specific fraternities- it's all about fit/vibe and if the brothers like you and want you in the house. The thing is that Cornell, because its an ivy, has a lot of rich prep/boarding-school athletes, and its easy for them to clump together to form a house. Doesn't mean that you have to be rich or have to be any specific type-of-person, but that is the dominant culture in some of these upper/top houses.
