Anyone can recolonize Sigma Nu. The thing is that SigNu (as well as ATO before their downfall) has always been a sports-house at Cornell. Unfortunately, most coaches at Cornell these days discourage/forbid athletes from rushing (especially after the SAE scandal about 10 years ago). This is probably the biggest reason why greek-life here has been dropping, even moreso than reforms by administration.
