Pledging isn't defined by hazing first off but most frats find a way to incorporate a fun/bonding/service oriented pledgeship through a number of different ways and it's ABSOLUTELY a necessary part of fraternal life and brotherhood. That being said Sig Ep and ATO have essentially no pledgeship nor process of building respect or new members gradually earning acceptence/becoming brothers.
